Dr. Jim Fitzgerald is a chiropractor in doylestown, pa who was born and raised locally in warminster, where he attended Archbishop Wood High School. He continued his education as a student athlete at Kutztown University and moved on to earn his chiropractic degree from palmer college of chiropractic in davenport, iowa. He currently resides here in the community where he serves, with his wife and two sons.
during both his undergraduate and graduate studies, dr. fitzgerald played rugby and competed at a national level. His passion for chiropractic came during his time at Kutztown after sustaining a neck injury during a rugby match. it was that sports injury that introduced him to the benefits of chiropractic care.
WHILE ATTENDING PALMER, HE DEVELOPED A GREAT INTEREST IN TREATING AND REHABILITATING ATHLETES. HE PARTICIPATED IN THE SPORTS COUNSEL PROGRAM, WAS A MEMBER OF THE REHABILITATION CENTER AT PALMER AND BECAME CERTIFIED IN ACTIVE RELEASE TECHNIQUE (ART) AND GRASTON, BOTH OF WHICH ARE SOFT TISSUE TECHNIQUES USED TO TREAT PROBLEMS WITH MUSCLES, TENDONS, LIGAMENTS, FASCIA, AND NERVES.
UPON GRADUATING, DR. FITZGERALD BEgAN PRACTICING IN PHILADELPHIA AND LANSDALE, Pennsylvania. HE HAS USED HIS KNOWLEDGE OF SPORTS REHABILITATION TO TREAT ATHLETES FROM RECREATIONAL LEVELS TO THOSE COMPETING PROFESSIONALLY, INCLUDING THE PHILADELPHIA UNION AND THE NATIONAL USA EAGLES RUGBY TEAM. ADDITIONALLY, HE HAS SERVED AS THE CHIROPRACTOR FOR THE NATIONAL COLLEGIATE RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIPS HELD HERE IN PHILADELPHIA.
